SLO Daybreak was again proud to sponsor four students from San Luis Obispo High School to participate in the District 5240 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in Ojai, CA. Rotary District 5240 spans the Central Coast of California from San Luis Obispo to Agoura Hills, covering inland to China Lake. Our district is comprised of 72 independent local Rotary clubs. Young people are chosen for their leadership potential to attend an all-expenses-paid camp to discuss leadership skills and to learn those skills through practice. Rotary clubs and districts select participants and the event’s curriculum is facilitated by Rotarians and Rotarian Camp Counselors. This year's sponsored students were Gianna Anselmo, Nolan Attala, Atticus Fenton and Tea Kelpakoff.
