San Luis Obispo Daybreak

   California, USA

Posted on Jan 12, 2018
Through a competitive application process, the Rotary Club of SLO Daybreak provides charitable awards to local nonprofits serving San Luis Obispo. Programs are nominated by club members as a way to support organizations they hold in high regard, and to recognize those programs that align with the club’s priorities.

As a nonprofit itself, SLO Daybreak is proud that so many of its members volunteer and serve in leadership roles with nonprofit groups in San Luis Obispo. In 2017, $6,000 in small, individual grants were awarded to the following organizations:

Food Bank Coalition of SLO County
Fund Summer Breakfast Bags for Low-Income Children

French Hospital Foundation
Self-Esteem Workshops for Girls

History Center of San Luis Obispo
Purchase Climate Monitoring Equipment for Long Term Preservation of Artifacts and other Materials.

Restorative Partners
Develop and Stock a Book Club at Juvenile Hall

San Luis Obispo County YMCA
Scholarships for Youth in Government Program

San Luis Obispo Symphony
